Frustated Bio-engineer

I've been thinking a lot about this for the past 6 months. I met some quality people in my college, they are simply superb. I have learnt a lot from them, I'm really fortunate to study and be with this guys.   In our College we have research project component for some courses in which we need to work on the project based on that course curriculum. Everyone were doing some amazing projects and thinking a lot out of their box for their project, as like everyone even I was hanging out there to make some stuff .a very few Students from various branches from my clg will always look monitor their progress and always wanted to scale it up. These guys even after completing their project as per curriculum, they play with the circuits and design something new again, loop begins here.  I admire these people a lot. you may wonder y am I saying all this????????

Sometimes I find myself in state of guilty and pricks me when I see these people do some wonders, its  not about being jealous but I question myself  am I capable enough of doing this?, am I the only one? and many questions which always kept on wriggling my brain, sometimes I felt even a sparrow has bigger brain than mine.

After undergoing this state, one more question struck me it was not exactly a question it was the time where I was really frustrated that being a biotech aspirant cant do anything inside my room but all other student getting their shit out of them in this four walls. They order one electrical kit from Amazon and start innovating something for the betterment of the society, but I'm not able to do something like them, they get their output within seconds. I'm a fucked up guy who is looking for his own peace of mind .I'm not blaming any branch I need some suggestions on how to be even more productive in our hostel rooms?? I need some biotech experts to stand and answer the questions raised by lunatic guys.

What actually defines you?

Few questions that I always ask myself  Is it the social intelligence that defines you? Is it the good looks that defines you? Is it the physical health that defines you? We have many ways to quantify intelligence, looks and physical health. Intelligence can be quantified with the help of so called I.Q (Intelligent Quotient), Looks can be quantified based on the Age/tone of your skin/your smile etc. Likewise, Health can also be quantified based on diet you follow / Exercise to keep yourself fit each day. All the parameters mentioned above not exactly define you. They are tools to assess you at that particular instant. Human minds are not static, they swing in different directions. Life is an integration of situations/instances that you face over time. Decision making is always difficult because the future of the curve is decided by decisions that you make. It is very hard to sustain your momentum going but when you choose different track you have to make sure that you f...

Connecting the dots

Ever since I started pursuing science, there has always been some kind of doubt. The question of “Am I heading in correct direction or not?” “Is it what I truly desire? “ “Would I have done better in something else?” “Did I not explore that?“ Kept bothering me. Since few days, I really enjoyed the way I found joy in exploring small things. I also realized that there is nothing else which gives me the great pleasure other than doing science. I get fascinated with things that I read and see. This fascination drives me to understand more. As i get fascinated with different things that I see, somewhere down the line, I strongly believe there’s a beautiful story which is stitching together while exploring it. This current mindset which I have to find joy in small things found the pleasure in something which made my day. I don’t know for what reason that is driving me since morning. Never have I ever had a hassle free day, this one subtle euphoria (which remains constant) ke...
I still don't understand how people zero down to a particular subject without knowing about the subject.Students take up the specific subject as their lifetime career after finishing their school but how students have zeroed down  one specific subject without leaving a question to others? Do we need to live the life the way comes and go along with that? How people say that "I'm really passionate about this" without knowing the subject? all these questions kept me boggling throughout the day and night. Let's take my case I took up biotech as my career after my 12th still I don't know why? keep this apart,I don't think even after undergoing 6 months of lectures,assignments,exams,practicals....... won't provide sufficient base for us to develop interest.I still remember a famous saying by John Nash that-"Hours of lecture will make you dull and makes you averse towards that subject."I'm in a state of predicament where I can't find my i...
